Taye Ensign Waldron Obituary (1922

Taye Ensign Waldron commenced a new life on 2 July 2010. There will be an immediate private interment at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington and later a memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 9256 Nels Nelson Rd. in Bremerton, Washington. Taye was born to parents H.D. Ensign and Zelma Webb, October 4, 1922 in Clarksville, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Zelma in 1925, an older brother, Easton in 1920. Taye's father married Laurine Anderson in 1927 who was her mother in mortality. The family thereafter resided in California. Taye now has the joy of being united for eternity with both of her mothers and a brother, Easton, she never knew. Taye is survived by her husband of 60 years, Burke and children SherLee of Reno, NV, Craig of Sandy, UT and his wife Lynette, Duff of Honolulu, HI, Clarke of Provo, UT and his wife Ellen and Gayle of Bremerton, WA and her husband Fred Daly, her brother, Tad Ensign of Barre, MA and his wife Margie and 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Two of Taye's great loves began at the age of six. The first was searching her family history and the other was her passion for the piano. These she consistently pursued until recent years when her health declined. She was always in demand as a piano accompanist beginning in junior high school. Following high school she was called by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to serve a full time proselyting mission in Northern California. After her release she enrolled at Brigham Young University and there in 1949 met her future husband, Burke Visick Waldron. They were married in the St. George Utah Temple September 13, 1949. After her husband's graduation from the "Y" they moved with their two children in 1952 to San Luis Obispo, California where three other children were born to them. They lived in SLO until 1984. Taye served faithfully in many callings in the church throughout her lifetime. Very special to her was the time she served in the Los Angeles Temple in the late 1970's. In 1984 she and her husband were called to serve a mission in Columbus Ohio. Following their release they moved to Carson City, Nevada and in 1999 moved to their present home in Bremerton, Washington. Taye will be remembered as always being cheerful and smiling. A memorial service will be held Sat. July 10th at 1:oo PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9256 Nels Nelson Rd, Bremerton, Wa. 98311. In lieu of Flowers rememberances may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County.
