Standley R. Stocker Obituary (2007

Standley Ralph Stocker, age 79, of Bremerton died May 9, 2007. He was born in Snohomish, WA to Sarah (Kuhlmann) and Edwin Stocker, Sr. on July 2, 1928. Stan graduated from Snohomish High School with the class of 1946. He then continued his education at Washington State College Veterinary School, graduating with the class of 1952. Stan then served in the US Army from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1954. Stan married Janet Galbert on July 1, 1956 in Seattle, WA. Stan moved to Port Orchard, where he worked for Dr. Bloomquist, in 1954. He later moved to Bremerton where he worked at Dr. Baker's office for 28 years, before moving his practice to his home. Stan was very active at Memorial Lutheran Church. He enjoyed handicrafts and spending time with and shopping for his grandchildren. Stan is survived by his loving wife Janet; sons Roger of Duvall and Leland (Kathy) Stocker of Gardiner, MT; daughters Nadine (Steve) Ottele of Bremerton, Carol (George) Wos of Colton, WA; brothers Edwin, Jr. of Snohomish and Charles of Spokane and 10 grandchildren. Stan was preceded in death by his sister Ethel. A memorial service will take place at Memorial Lutheran Church, Sunday, May 13, 2007 at 3 PM.
