Celebrating The Life Of Scot Glyn Jones Sr
May 1, 1967 - December 19, 2025
Scot Glyn Jones Sr, a devoted husband, father and veteran, passed away leaving behind a legacy of service, protection and faith. Born on May 1, 1967 in the Bronx, New York, Scot was the beloved son of the late Grantley Everett Jones and Lorraine Marline Jones.

Early Life and Faith-
Growing up in the Bronx, Scot was educated in the New York public school system and was a proud graduate of Harry S. Truman Highschool, Class of 1985.
From a young age, Scot was raised in the Christian faith at Bethel Gospel Assembly. It was there that he first accepted Christ and began to develop a unique passion for security- a calling to watch over others that would define his entire professional life.

A Life of Service-
In the summer of 1985, Scot answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. He dedicated over 20 years of his life as a seaman, embodying the values of discipline and honor. He honored his vow to serve and protect. Whether in uniform or in his private life, he was a man people could depend on to help them in their time of need.

Continuing Education and Pursuits-
Scot went on to pursue continuing education, obtaining many degrees, certifications and meritorious awards over his lifetime. Attending ITT Technical Institute with an Associates Degree in Computer Drafting and Design, Linda Montgomery Investigations where he was certified as a private investigator, then culminating in receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management in the spring of 2015 while working towards his Master's Degree in that same discipline.
On the creative side, Scot was also an incredible and talented artist with his drawings and sketches, crafty with woodworking pursuits and a proficient and beautiful calligraphy artist with a skill in perfect penmanship. Scot enjoyed cooking and was a master on the grill, with a particular talent for his signature barbeque ribs and wings. One of his greatest joys was having family or friends over for a BBQ. His love of music was a theme throughout his life, participating in church and community related programs, running sound support and tech and playing the bass guitar. He immersed himself in Gospel, Jazz and R&B.

Family and Legacy-
Scot's heart belonged to his family. From his union with Tina, he was blessed with two wonderful children, Scot Jr and Annysa (and grandson Adonis). Later in life, Scot met and married the love of his life, Ruth. Together, they blended their lives, proving that two families could truly become one through love and devotion.
