Pearce D. Nansel Obituary (1922

Pearce D. Nansel of Silverdale, WA passed away on December 30, 2002. He was 80 years of age. On August 11, 1922, Pearce was born in Arnold, Nebraska to Wray and Bernice Nansel. He graduated from Narbonne High School of Harbor City, CA in 1940. Once he completed high school, Pearce enlisted in the US Army and achieved the rank of Sgt. After finishing his duty with the Army in 1946 he married Naomi Thompson. Pearce also became a Longshoreman. He remained as such for 30 years and retired in 1984. Pearce enjoyed camping and gardening. He is survived by his wife of Silverdale; one son, Larry Nansel of Seattle, WA; one daughter, Gail Blair of Poulsbo, Wa; one brother, Gordon Nansel of Burlington, WA; two sisters, Lois Berry of Olympia, WA and Donna Steinbach of Huntington Beach, CA; 5 grandchildren and 5 grt-grandchildren. He is preceded by sisters Ora German, Ida Snyder and one brother Wray Nansel. Service are private. Arrangements are under the direction of ''The Stone Chapel'' Poulsbo Mortuary in Poulsbo, WA.
