Orin Charles Carr Obituary (1916

Orin Charles Carr was born in Newcastle, Wyoming on December 19, 1916 to Grace (Carter) and Charles E. Carr. He passed away January 7, 2007 in Bremerton, Washington. Orin and Ethel were married for fifty years. Ethel passed away on February 16, 1990. Orin has three daughters: Yvonne Marsh, Kathrin Carr and LaDonna Carr; 5 grandchildren: Bob, Kristi, Nicole, Cody, Renee and 8 great-grandchildren. Orin was a cowboy and rancher. He broke horses to earn enough money to get married. He lived 60 years on a ranch 24 miles outside of Newcastle that his father homesteaded. Orin was known to many ranchers as a generous and fair neighbor. He was known at Belmont Terrace Assisted Living as Mr. Howdy, because he always said "Howdy" in a loud voice. He was known to his daughters as a father who was creative, resourceful, fair and honest, with a strong work ethic. He always said "You can do it." Bailing wire, pliers and "a back up" were all he needed to survive. Orin, Dad, Mr. Howdy, you will be missed, but remembered with a smile. We are glad you have your "hide out" up above. A memorial service will be held on the ranch in Wyoming on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 2:00 PM. Arrangements under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
