Leslie "Babe" Walter Hough, Sr. Obituary (1931

Leslie "Babe" Walter Hough, Sr. passed away on December 12, 2022, in Gig Harbor, Washington, at the age of 91. Born December 8, 1931, in Newell, South Dakota to Walter Vernon and Vera Mae Hough, he graduated from Hill City High School in South Dakota. He married his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Johnson, on March 30, 1953, in Bremerton. Leslie served in the Navy on the USS Helena CA75 from 1951-1955, He then was apprenticed as a machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard where he worked for 30 years. He was a foreman in the Tool and Die Making Shop (06) when he retired. Leslie most enjoyed being with friends and family while bible teaching, hunting, reading, and puzzles. He was an active participant at Manchester Community Church from the mid-1960s and showed remarkable devotion by praying each morning for every member of his family and church. Survivors include his daughter Carla Denise Campbell (Brian), sons Leslie Walter Hough, Jr. (Jessica) and Hollas Lynn Walter Hough (Michelle) and sister Lucille Gorseth. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. There will be a memorial service held at Manchester Community Church on December 17, 2022, at 11am.
