Kathleen Marie Langhorn

August 26, 1961 – July 13, 2025

Kathy Langhorn, beloved sister and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2025, at the age of 63.

Born on August 26, 1961, in Bremerton, Washington, Kathy was a warm and creative soul who dedicated her life to making others feel beautiful, inside and out. After graduating from Cinderella Beauty School, she pursued her passion as a hairstylist and went on to co-own a successful salon on Bainbridge Island. When the lease on the salon ended, Kathy continued to serve her loyal clients through her mobile hairstyling services, always bringing her talent, kindness, and gentle spirit wherever she went.

Kathy was also a talented artist who found joy in painting and charcoal drawing. One of her proudest artistic achievements was a large mural she painted on the side of her parents’ barn—an expressive, vivid work that still remains a vibrant tribute to her creative spirit.

In addition to her creative pursuits, Kathy co-authored a book with her mother, Pat, titled Letters From the Dragon’s Head. The book, based on the letters of Kathy’s great-great-aunt Martha Wiley, who taught college courses in China from 1900 to 1947, was many years in the making and a true labor of love. It stands as a testament to her deep curiosity, dedication to family history, and storytelling spirit.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Pat and Don. Kathy is survived by her brothers, Ken and Keith, as well as a niece, two grand-nieces, aunts, an uncle, numerous cousins, her husband Ray and countless friends and clients whose lives she touched over the years with her generous heart and quiet strength.

Kathy will be remembered for her dedication to her craft, her artistic gifts, her caring nature, and the joy she brought to those lucky enough to know her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she made brighter.
