Isaiah Gregory Kekoakuwale Simao Obituary (2007

Isaiah Gregory Kekoakuwale Simao, age 10, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 22, 2017 after falling off a horse, which he was riding on his family's property in Poulsbo, WA. The fall was followed by four days at Harborview Medical Center receiving the best medical attention possible. The day before Thanksgiving, at approximately 4:20 pm, Isaiah was sung into glory by his parents and seven loving sisters. Though very young, Isaiah was incredibly gifted in many ways. He always sought the great truths, having a special interest in theology, science, reading, writing, and music. He was several chapters into writing a fantasy novel, and his writing was largely influenced by his two favorite authors, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien. Isaiah was kind, godly, intelligent, and a wonderful son and brother, always able to bring joy and laughter with his quirky smile or jokes that he "made up" himself. He could spend hours playing imaginary games with his little sisters, or beneath his blankets reading by lamplight on his bed. He enjoyed movie soundtracks, sleeping in late, and learning about animals and science. From a very young age, and especially in this last year, Isaiah took a special interest in learning more about God, reading his Bible, and studying about heaven. His church, Scandia Bible Church, which his dad pastors, celebrated his profession of faith and baptism this past summer. Isaiah is survived by his parents, Monty and Celeste (Teves) Simao of Poulsbo, WA, seven sisters, Sydney, Maya, Audrey, Anna, Quincey, Natalie, and Naomi, his paternal grandmother Barbara Simao, and maternal grandparents Arnold and Paulette Teves, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
