Gerry M. Wilhelm Obituary (1923

Gerry was born in Tacoma, WA on April 22, 1923 to Elmer and Margaret Schneider and passed peacefully on November 2, 2010 at the age of 87. Gerry was the loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt to our family. She was surrounded by loved ones on the day of her death and was ready to move on to a better place. She was always there for all of us and will be missed by all that knew her. She could always laugh at herself and never cooked a meal that she didn't apologize for something being not quite right even though they were always delicious. She enjoyed boating with her husband Carl for many years until their age and health prevented them from continuing. She loved shopping with her Sister-in-Law, Barbara Thurston and always came home with a gift for someone. She very much enjoyed seeing her Great Grandchildren and always had a new toy or book for them. She was a member of the Bremerton Yacht Club Skipperettes, and of a Bremerton T.O.P.S group where she had many close friends. She looked forward to the monthly Birthday Club luncheons and cakes with her friends. July 10, 1965, Gerry married Carl Gregor Wilhelm and moved to Bremerton, WA where she was the homemaker for daughter Janet L. Christensen, sons Greg E. Wilhelm and Thomas C. Christensen. Gerry is survived by her sons Thomas C. Christensen (Judy) and Greg E. Wilhelm (Barbara), 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband Carl G. Wilhelm, daughter Janet L. Davies and brother, John Schneider. A celebration of her life will be held from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at her home on November 13th
