Eunice Hilda Jones-Aardahl Obituary (1923

Eunice Hilda (Strigel) Jones-Aardahl, 89, passed away in her Bremerton, WA home of 60 years with her family by her side. She was born March 27, 1923 in Arnegard, ND to Leo and Hilda Strigel. Eunice moved to Bremerton in the 1940's to be close to her sisters, Alice Bauman, Ruth Carlson and Marie Jensen, all preceding her in death. In Bremerton, Eunice met Vandy Jones who she was married to for 39 years. After Vandy's passing, she was briefly married to Clarence Aardahl until his death. Her sisters and her close family ties meant everything to Eunice, along with her love for stray cats. She had a deep love for all things special in life as you could see from her great friendships and caring for others. She enjoyed gardening, walking, the Mariners and her hot latte's from Drinkworx. Eunice is survived by her daughters Anne Buss (Issaquah, WA), Ruth Miller (Salem, OR) and Kay ("Casey") Bradley (Seattle, WA) along with 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who will all miss her deeply. The family would like to extend a special thank you to neighbor Stan Klippert, best friend Marijo Anderson, and her friend of many years, Paul Murphey, for their continued love and support.
