Enid Irene Eytel Obituary (1921

Enid Irene Eytel, 87, died from complications due to cancer on May 30, 2009 in Silverdale. She was born July 16, 1921 to Leopold and Thelma (Lindemann) Mueller in Cass County, ND. Enid graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard in 1939 and studied Nursing at the University of Washington in Seattle. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Norman "Roy" Eytel in 1997. Enid was active with Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bremerton and was a member of the Bremerton Cruisers in the 1960's with Roy. Enid loved to cook for family and friends, socialize with her friends, and keep in contact with her family. She enjoyed taking camping trips to Ocean Shores. As a natural teacher she also enjoyed and loved to be around young children. She was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter Judith Dianne, four brothers, and one sister. Enid is survived by daughters Joyce Mora (Ron) and Susan Ecklund (Roger); son Bill Eytel (Joley); brother Gary Mueller (Dorothy); seven grandchildren Diane, Douglas, and Denita Mora; David Ecklund; and Timothy, Giada, and Jocelyn Eytel; three great-grandchildren Joseph, Kiley, and Ariana; and extended family members Larry, Del, Jeannie, and Valerie Mueller. Viewing will take place at Lewis Funeral Chapel from 10 AM to 4 PM on June 3, 4, and 5, 2009. A funeral service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 2 PM followed by a graveside service and burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
