Emma H. Henry, 61 Tahuya, WA November 11, 1955 to March 30, 2017 In loving memory of Emma, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend. Emma passed away on March 30, 2017 at Harrison Hospital surrounded by her family who will miss her dearly. She joins family and friends already passed including her parents Anna and Thomas Haasl, her nephew Danny Ray, her great-nephew Tyler Braithwaite and her brother-in-law Roger Braithwaite. Emma is survived by her son Michael Hoffman, her daughter Angela Purcell and her ex-husband David Hoffman. Her Grandchildren; Tyla Muzy, Aliah Hoffman, Melissa Corcoran, Kaleb Hoffman and Emma Louise Purcell. Her sisters; Ann Klepps, Pat Braithwaite, Rose Page, and Carla Ray. Her nieces; Tina Johnson, Stacey Braithwaite, Becky Treise and Kerri Norbisrath. Her nephews; Henry Braithwaite, Todd Klepps, Sean Norbisrath, and Casey Ray. Along with 18 great-nieces and nephews. Emma was born in Lewiston, Idaho and graduated High School in Port Angeles, WA. As an adult she lived in California, Virginia, and Hawaii, then came home to Washington where she stayed until she passed away. She recently lived in Forks, WA where she enjoyed spending time with her sisters Ann and Pat along with her nieces and nephews. Emma, Ann and Pat would get together for Taco Tuesday or just to spend time visiting, being so close to her sisters made the years she lived in Forks some of her happiest. She loved having her grandchildren out to visit and would spend a week every summer with just the grandchildren beachcombing and playing, all the grandkids remember the summer fun they enjoyed with Grandma Emma and will cherish the memories she made with them. Emma loved the holidays and never missed a Christmas with her daughter and family, her love of big Christmas celebrations will live on through her daughter and grandchildren. She spent many Halloweens and Easters with the grandkids making the days special to her family. We will always think of her and smile for all the wonderful memories she gave us. Emma loved camping and spent Sekiu Days doing so with family and friends. She spent time with her daughter and family camping at Ocean Shores and she enjoyed riding quads and camping at the Dunes. Emma had wonderful memories of her vacations in Kauai and Las Vegas with family and friends, the pictures she brought back painted a beautiful picture of love and laughter. She cherished her time spent clam digging with her nephew Henry, family and friends, along with all the family get-togethers that were an important part of her life in Forks. She also enjoyed bargain shopping with her sisters and her daughter and could wear her daughter out on a day long shopping extravaganza! Emma could spend hours on the phone with Ann, Pat or her daughter and just talk about nothing and everything, these wonderful hours hearing her voice filled with love and laughter will be sorely missed. She loved watching her grandchildren grow up, spending time with her children, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She was an avid Seahawks fan and shared her love of the game with her grandchildren Aliah, Kaleb and Emma Louise. Emma most recently worked at Jefferson Transit as a driver, a job she loved. She had to medically retire but she kept her wonderful memories of her job, her co-workers and her riders close to her heart. Emma was a kind-hearted loving woman who brought warmth and laughter to her family and friends. She was full of life, her smile warmed everyone around her, her humor was infectious, and her laugh could bring light to the saddest of times. She was a wonderful mother and life without her will be a little dimmer, but we will remember all the fun and laughter she brought to all our lives and smile knowing that we are all better people for knowing and loving her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Written in loving memory by her daughter, I will miss you mom.
