Courtney May Theis Obituary (1981

Beautiful Courtney passed away on 3/3/2022 at 40 years old. Courtney was afflicted with Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that almost exclusively affects females. Courtney was the light of her parents lives and all lives she touched, She was an only child which translated into "Princess". Her family believed anyone that was fortunate to have met or knew her, were blessed, for she had a gift of teaching unconditional love and acceptance. She lived with her mother and father her whole life until she passed away. She was involved in everything, even though she was confined to a wheelchair, she never missed an opportunity for an adventure. She bravely dealt with many physical and mental challenges, however, she was a happy, smiling, and laughing young lady. She was also fortunate to have her loving extended family who made her the center of their world too. She was brave, feisty, funny, gentle, patient, and accepting. She had a smile that lit up a room and a contagious laugh for all to join in. Her mom and dad were so proud to have been chosen to be her parents. Because she was a special person it made them a special family. She is survived by her father and mother, Jim & Cindy Theis.
