Vernabelle Rice Obituary (1933

Vernabelle Rice, 77, died on July 6, 2011 in Poulsbo, WA. She was born on September 12, 1933 in Shelton, WA to Charles E. and Orpha (Barnhard) Botts. Vernabelle graduated from Irene S. Reed High School in Shelton. On July 17, 1950 in Shelton, Vernabelle married Darrell Rice. She worked as a seamstress for over 45 years before retiring. She was also a homemaker, author, and artist. Vernabelle volunteered at Martha and Mary in Poulsbo and she loved to sing and play guitar. She is survived by her husband Darrell, son; Steve Rice, daughters; Chris (Carl) Holdway, Becky Miklethun, Daralynne (Bob) Fitzpatrick, and 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
