Romy Lee Gurke Obituary (1965

Romy Lee Gurke was born in Oahu, Hawaii on February 26, 1965 and went to be in the Peace of her Lord on October 31st, 2004. She is survived by her father Donald L. Gurke of Oxnard, California her loving and devoted mother Beverly Haavisto of Port Orchard, Washington a sister Lea and husband Bob Brockman, niece Robyn and nephew Jordan Brockman of Brentwood, California, Aunt Francine Overton and cousin Lohn Shook of Port Orchard, Washington, Uncle Vincent Haavisto of Vallejo, California and a very special friend Al Bornhoeft of Port Orchard Washington. She was preceded in Death by her loving step-father Pete Estrada of Port Orchard, Washington. Romy graduated from Patrick Henry High School San Diego California in 1983 and continued her education at both San Diego State University and San Francisco State University earning an AA degree. Romy loved the theater, decorating her home, cooking and she was an avid shopper. She attended Adventure of Faith Presbyterian Church in Port Orchard. She previously worked as a cardiac technician in Tacoma, Washington. A Memorial Service will be held on November 17th, 1:00PM at the Faith Adventure Presbyterian Church in Port Orchard, WA
