Ray M. Lonn Obituary (1923

Ray M. Lonn, 81, died in Port Orchard, WA on Friday, September 2, 2005. He was born to Carl Ivar and Hannah (Kjell) Lonn on December 14, 1923 in Rockford, IL. Mr. Lonn joined the Navy after graduating from high school in Rockford, IL. He served in the Navy during WWII. Ray worked as an inside machinist at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA prior to his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the local American Legion Post 149. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Sweden where his parents were born, as well as fishing and gardening. A Celebration of Life will take place for Mr. Lonn at a future date. Mr. Lonn is survived by his daughters Barbara Dolen and Earl of Port Orchard, WA, Susan Wilson of Aberdeen, WA; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Carl Lonn who died in 2004, and his sister Ruth Carlson.
