Orris M. Sandbeck Obituary (1918

Orris M. Sandbeck passed away June 11, 2010 at home, one day after celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary. He was born in Aneta, ND on 7/8/1918 to Peter and Emma (Gesvold) Sandbeck. He was a veteran of WWII, and served in France. He married Leona Saint on June 10, 1950 in McHenry, ND and moved to Washington in 1951, where he began a career at PSNS as a rigger and retired from there in 1982. The Sandbeck's moved to Shelton in 1982, and returned to Bremerton in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Leona, of the family home, children, Cheryl (Gene) Battaglia of Shelton, and Larry and Rick of Bremerton, brother, Pete (Dodie) of Aneta, grandchildren, Jeremie, Aaron (Angelica), and Travis (Nina) Sandbeck, and Leianna Salter, great-grandchildren, Jayden, Melia, Kaleia, Jay, Mya, Jeremie Jr., Warren, and Kasaundra. Also, Mary, the family dog. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lawrence Sandbeck and sister, Pearl Hamre. Visitation will be held at Lewis Funeral Chapel Fri. 6/18 from 10 AM - 1:30 PM. A Graveside service will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery Fri. 6/18 at 2 PM, followed by a reception at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
