Nola Maxine Arnold Obituary (1926

Nola Arnold passed away quietly on November 12, 2010, after a three year battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia and its complications. She was born Nola Maxine Winters on November 28, 1926 near Cambridge, Nebraska to Arthur and Amy Winters. Nola spent most of her childhood in Nebraska, moving to Washington State with her family in the early 1940's. She graduated from Central Kitsap HS in 1945. She worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard during the war, but most of her career was with the Montgomery Ward store in Bremerton where she was the shipping /receiving supervisor. She took great pride in her work there. Nola's family was the most important thing in her life. First and foremost she was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a caring daughter, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her son Rick Arnold of Olympia; daughter Terri Maulin (Jeff) of Poulsbo; son Ben Arnold of Poulsbo; sister Phyllis Avery (Donald) of Sequim; sister-in-law Nancy Winters of Bremerton; her beloved grandchildren, Tasha Zetty (Dwight), Meredith Benningfield, and Joseph Arnold; her cherished great-grandchildren, Tyra and Andrea Zetty; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Arnold; her parents, Arthur and Amy Winters; her siblings, Wayne Winters, Donald Winters, Winifred Manning, Lyle Winters, Robert Winters, Irvin Winters, Richard Winters, and Larry Winters. She will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Click the "Charities" link for more information.
