Lila Ashwood Miller

Lila Ashwood Miller, 92, of Kingston, WA passed away on March 10th. She was born on April 3, 1915 in Clarinda, IA.

Lila graduated from Avoca High School in Avoca, NB in 1933. She also attended Peru State Teacher's College in Auburn, NB.

On December 30, 1944 in Everett, WA, Lila married Mark P. Miller. He preceded her in death in 1999.

Lila was a homemaker and also worked at the Bon Marche in Everett and The Auburn Herald in Auburn, NB. She enjoyed caring for "Dandy" her duck and her dogs "Pebbles" and "Saga".

Lila is survived by her son, Mark Lloyd Miller (Sheri) of Port Orchard, WA; daughters, Ronda Miller of Kingston, WA and Marla Miller (Dick Powlesland) of Sammamish, WA; sister, Clara Morley of Colorado and who recently celebrated her 100 birthday; and grandchildren, Terra Miller and Kayla Powlesland.

A private graveside service was held at Eglon Cemetery. A memorial tea will be held on April 5th from 1-3pm at the Eglon Community Center.
