Kjar Gale Willey Obituary (1926

Kjar Gale Willey of Bremerton passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 4, 2010 at the age of 84. Kjar was born in Salt Lake City on Nov. 8, 1926. A graduate of Bremerton High School & the University of Washington, he began his career working at PSNS and later as an engineer on a Special Projects Team at Keyport Torpedo Station. Kjar was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving a mission in the Eastern States, as a Bishop and as a Seattle Temple worker. He is preceded in death by his parents Edison & Rose Willey and his son, Mark Craig Willey of Bremerton. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, LaVon and three daughters; Kayla Willey of Orem, UT, Cherylyn Willey Wright of West Richland, WA & Janeen Willey of Mesa, AZ. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Jason, Lindsay, Devin, Stephanie, Tyler, Christina & Malinda. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Kitsap Way followed by a Memorial Service at the Bremerton Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 2225 Perry Ave. at 2:00PM.
