James E. Hill, Sr. Obituary (1923

James "Jack" Hill, Sr., 83, died on Sunday, December 3, 2006 in Bremerton, WA. He was born to Charles Edwin Hill, Sr. and Alberta Dora (Lusk) Hill on April 21, 1923 in Tuolumne, CA. He attended Senora Union High School in Senora, CA where he graduated in 1942. He married Agnes Sofia Apeland on January 24, 1945 in Bremerton, WA. Mr. Hill served in the US Navy between 1941 and 1947 as an electrician during WWII. He worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an architect, draftsman and carpenter for 19 years prior to his retirement 1970. He then superintended for 9 years with Pentecostal Evangelical Church ministries, he was also the administrative minister and held the office of General Bishop (National & International) for 22 years. He pioneered the Central Valley Church and served as a pastor there. He was a member of the Bremerton Revival Center. He enjoyed church work and helping people. He also liked making crafts for senior's fairs where he hosted a table for 15 years. Jack is survived by his wife Agnes S. Hill of Bremerton, WA; his sons Jim Hill, Jr. and wife, Betty of Port Orchard, WA, Gordon Hill and wife, Eve of Bremerton, WA, Ron Hill and wife, Dawn of Mitchel, SD; daughters Kathy Logue and husband, Mark of Bremerton, WA, Berty Monroe and husband, Bruce of Everett, WA; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren.
