Hau Tat Obituary (1934

Hau Tat, 86 of Bremerton, Washington has passed away. Born in Guangzhou, China her family relocated to Vietnam in 1937. She met her late husband in 1951 and raised 15 kids and 7 grandchildren before making another difficult decision to immigrate to the United States in 1987. Her family settled in Bremerton, Washington and she remained in the area until her passing. Her oldest daughter is the owner of Emperor's Palace Chinese Restaurant on Kitsap Way in Bremerton, Washington. She was an amazingly strong woman who always put her family first. She taught her children the meaning of hard work and paved a better life for them in America. She reminded all of us to help the less fortunate, be kind to others, and love people and not things as nothing is permanent in this world - be kind and generous to people. When things got hard, she remained more determined to overcome adversity and succeed. After all, failing would not be an option with 15 children. She imagined and then made reality a life in America where her children would all succeed and to do even greater things for their children. She sacrificed far more than many in their lifetime, and without hesitation would do it all over again. A life well lived. She is the American dream. She is survived by one brother, two sisters, 15 children, 38 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She passed away on her lunar birthday and left a remarkable life and legacy. She will not be forgotten. 1934-2019
