Gunnar Bengt Gyllensten Obituary (1933

Gunnar Bengt Gyllensten, 84, of Bremerton, WA, died on March 22, 2018. He was born to Otto and Ragnhild (Sanderberg) Gyllensten on August 9, 1933 in Halmstad, Sweden. Gunnar served in the Royal Swedish Air Force, and after his service, went on to graduate from Lund University and M.I.T. Gunnar used his education in management and physics to develop successful careers within several manufacturing firms. In 1960, Gunnar married the love of his life, Marianne Erikson in Seglora Kyrka, Stockholm, Sweden. He was an active Rotarian who enjoyed skiing, hiking, and was an avid reader. Gunnar is preceded in death by his wife, Marianne; and his parents. Gunnar's memory will live on with his sons, Magnus (Kelly) and Staffan; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, Alex, and Ashley. A private inurnment service will be held at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo.
