Glenn James Schatz Obituary (1928

Glenn Schatz, 80, of Allyn, WA passed away on October 14, 2008. Glenn was born on June 3, 1928 in Richmond, ND to Reinhold and Rachel (Lang) Schatz. He attended South Kitsap High School and served in the US Navy. Glenn married Beverly Jean Hedrick in 1949, and she preceded him in death in May 1989. He worked as a meat cutter for the Belfair Thriftway and Serv-U Grocery for 40 years, and retired in 1984. Glen was a member of Lakeland Village Golf Club and the Eagles Club. He loved golf, fishing, spending time with family and friends and traveling with his loving companion of 17 years Marilyn Adams. Glenn was preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Floyd and sister, Verla. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Goldbecker (Robert) of Olalla, WA and Sue Glasgow of Port Orchard, WA; brother, Gerald Schatz of Allyn, WA. A private graveside service will be held at Twin Firs Cemetery in Belfair with a wake to be announced later.
