Gary Richard Dubay, Sr. Obituary (1947

Gary Richard Dubay, 74, of Poulsbo, Washington, passed away on Monday, September 26 with his wife and children by his side. Born in Caribou, Maine to Alexander and Yvette Dubay, Gary Graduated from Caribou High School he then went on to serve honorably in the United States Navy. After 23 years he retired as a Senior Chief. He received numerous awards during his career and was a part of the first crew on the first Trident Submarine the USS Ohio. On August 11, 1969 Gary married the love of his life Linda Sabol, in Miami, Florida. This year they celebrated 53 years of marriage. After retirement from the Navy, he worked for Watson for 19 years; in Gary's spare time he was a puzzle master and Lego genius. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, camping and the occasional gold prospecting. He was a part of a bowling league and rifle club, Gary loved playing the slot machines at the casino and could often be caught there by his children after work. He enjoyed a good debate and thought of himself as an amateur political commentator. Although stubborn and grumpy at times, he loved his family above all else and strived to make sure they were taken care of. He will be greatly missed. Gary's memory will live on with his wife, Linda, daughters Dianna and April, son, Gary. As well as his Grandchildren, Alexandra, Nicholas, Devin, Alayna, Karissa, Kayley, and Ethan and great grandchildren Emberlyn and Ulanni. His brother Ronald and several nieces and nephews. At his request there will be no formal ceremony; instead there will be an intimate gathering of close friends and family.
