Poulsbo, Washington
Fred Cameron was born in Summit, New Jersey, in 1945. He grew up in Shawnee Mission, Kansas and earned a joint degree in astronomy and physics from the University of Kansas. He began his first career as a programmer for IBM in New York and eventually moved to California where he formed a computer software company in Silicon Valley with his, now, wife. His later passion was a quest for deeper spiritual meaning through the study of both Eastern and Western traditions. Fred passed away unexpectedly on August 24th at his home in Kingston, Washington. He is survived by his wife, Pamela, sons - Scott and Ian, two step-children - Kari and Drew, six grandchildren, and his brother - Roger.
Fred was a researcher, an intellect, a visionary writer, and the author of six books. He was also a musician, composing and creating a CD, Memories of Home, using ancient Sumerian tunings which date back some 5000 years. He always encouraged others to tap into their own creative abilities.
Remembrances in his name may be made to Sanborn Western Camp in Colorado, a place dear to his heart and where three generations of Cameron's have been impressed by nature and the great outdoors: www.SanbornWesternCamps.com. Please indicate your gift is in memory of Fred Cameron. Mail-in information is there as well. (Sanborn Western Camps/Colorado Outdoor Education Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donors will receive a tax letter recognizing their donation.)
