Ernest K. Knudson Obituary (1930

Ernest K. (Ernie) Knudson, 81, lifelong Poulsbo resident passed away Monday morning, July 16 at his home in Poulsbo. The cause of death was heart failure complicated by Ernie's long battle with Parkinson's disease. Ernie was born at Port Gamble on November 30, 1930. He graduated from North Kitsap in 1948. Ernie worked in his family's Ford agency in downtown Poulsbo, for Safeco Insurance and partnered in real estate projects. He was a Master Sergeant in Poulsbo's unit of the state National Guard; was past president of the Poulsbo Chamber and a member of the Poulsbo Volunteer Fire Department. Ernie was the Lodge Manager of the Poulsbo Sons of Norway for 13 years. Ernie is survived by his children Tom Knudson, Sun Valley, Libby Knudson, Los Angeles, Amy Knudson, Seattle and brother Harlan Knudson, Sequim A memorial service is being planned.
