Eileen C. Dicks Obituary (1922

Eileen Dicks, 87, of Bremerton, died at Harrison Medical Center, November 1, 2008, after a brief illness. She was born in Bremerton, May 20, 1921, to Roy and Hilda (Ekstadt) O'Hara. She graduated from Bremerton High School with the class of 1939. Eileen married Horace Dicks, February 26, 1940 in Bremerton. She worked for Darigold as a bookkeeper for many years. Eileen was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Horace and her brother Dale O'Hara. She is survived by her brother LeRoy and wife Carol O'Hara; sons Norm and wife Suzie Dicks, Les and wife Mary Dicks; grandsons, David, Ryan, Daniel and Jeff Dicks and great-grandchildren, Wilson, Danika and Cooper. A memorial will be held, Fri. Nov. 7, 2008, 1 PM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Inurnment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the Naval Avenue Boys and Girls Club PO Box 214, Belfair, WA 98528. The Dicks family would like to give special thanks to Peter Mundloch for his unwavering support and care. Also, sincere gratitude to Eileen's physicians, Dr. Joseph Herman, Dr. Roger Eagan, Dr. Ronald Reimer and the nursing staff at Harrison for their compassionate care.
