Earl R. Beck

Earl J. Beck, 77, of Port Orchard, WA died on Monday, February 5, 2007 in Bremerton, WA. He was born to August and Dorothy (Tintle) Beck on March 21, 1929 in Butler, NJ. He married Doris Chapman in 1964 in Long Beach, CA. He served in the US Navy as a radio technician overseas in Asia between 1946 - 1949. Mr. Beck worked as a Superintendent of Equipment Cleaners and Pump Operators and as a Reactivation Manager of the USS Missouri (1986) at Long Beach Naval Shipyard for 25 years prior to retiring in 1989. Earl was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Elks. He enjoyed camping, traveling and bowling. He is survived by his son James Beck and wife, Georgianna of Port Orchard, WA; his daughters Bobby Kozlovsky and husband, Ben of Austin, TX, Denise Wilkenson and husband, Fred of Eagle Point, OR, Sandra Fogarty of Cortez, CO, Linda Nelson of Huntington Beach, CA, Cindy Escalante of Cypress, CA; thirteen brothers; 3 sisters; and 16 grandchildren.
