Dorthea Furgeson Obituary (1919

Dorthea Furgeson of Poulsbo, WA passed away at home on November 15, 2003. She was 84 years of age. Dorthea was born to Emil E. and Karen A. (Stevens) Hanson on February 11, 1919 in Fergus Falls, MN. She attended Fergus Falls High School. On October 12, 1959, she married Gisle Furgeson in Minnesota. She worked as a personal cook for Mrs. Agnes Brennen of Poulsbo and as a homemaker. Dorthea enjoyed cooking, gardening, her family, shopping, laughter, and watching TV sermon's. Dorthea is survived by two daughters; Susan R. Barlow (Chuck) of Poulsbo, WA, and Gale I. Tracy of Poulsbo, WA; one sister, Olive Swenson of Fergus Falls, MN; 7 grandchildren, Ronald, Randi(Peter), Renee, Ryan, Rebecca, Brian(Becky), Jeffry(Teresa); and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carroll Hanson and Aldor Hanson, and two sisters, Ethel Loomer and Audrey Johnson. A funeral service will be held on November 21, 2003 at 1pm at The Stone Chapel. Visitation will be held at the Stone Chapel on November 20th from 9-5pm and on the 21st from 9-12pm. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton, WA.
