Dominador Dabu Cunanan Obituary (1944

Dominador Dabu Cunanan 77, of San Diego, California, who fiercely fought his battle with parkinsons joined his heavenly father in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones on March 16, 2022. Dom, is survived by his wife Ofelia of 9 years, daughters Marilou Marcotte, Mary Ann Miyoshi, step daughters Jammie Jimenez, JC Addenbrook, sons Michael, Mitchel, Matthew, Maxwell, grandchildren Marissa, Cassandra, Samantha, Alaina (Marcotte), Robert, Sachi (Miyoshi), sister Loretta Ronquillo, his son and daughter in-laws and many loving sisters and brothers in law and extended family. Dom epitomized the meaning of love, humility, and grace to all that knew him. Dom was born in Pampanga, Philippines of very humble beginnings. He married his childhood sweetheart Paulina Cunanan whom he lost to cancer. As a young man with dreams of providing a better future for his family and extended family, he joined the US Navy serving for 20 years receiving many commendations and ribbons retiring as PO1 SH. Dom loved passionately and unconditionally and had a great work ethic which was reflected in the upbringing of his children and grandchildren. Dom was blessed to be graced with love again when he married his current wife and friend Ofelia. Dom's greatest joys were his children and grandchildren. He was a man of few words but had great depth and love in ensuring his children and grandchildren were afforded the opportunities to thrive and succeed. His generosity and empathy were given freely and abundantly. He will be missed by many. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 19th at Holy Trinity Church, 4215 Pine Rd. Bremerton, WA 98310. A viewing will begin at 10 am, followed by a rosary at 10:30 am with Mass starting at 11 am. Refreshments will be served in the Social Hall following the mass. We will depart at 1:15 pm to Cherry Grove Memorial Park located at: 22272 Foss Rd NE, Poulsbo, WA 98370 where he will be laid to rest.
