Delcie Irene Madison Obituary (1920

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Delcie Irene Madison, 89, passed away in Bremerton on December 10, 2009, surrounded by her family and friends. Born May 26, 1920, Delcie was married to the love of her life, Harold, for almost 66 years. Harold and Delcie were very active members of the Bremerton Church of Christ, and their lives centered around church and family. Delcie taught her children and grandchildren how to love and to give. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her husband, Delcie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jodi Hamilton. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Van Leuven (Randy) of Bremerton and Jan Hamilton (Tom) of Gresham, Oregon; sister, Eunice McMillan of Wellington, Kansas; brother-in-law, James Madison of Winfield, Kansas; sister-in-law, Wilma Bynum of Topeka, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A celebration of Delcie's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Jan 9, 2010, at Port Orchard Church of Christ.
