Dallas Arne Lund Obituary (1939

Dallas Arne Lund, 74 passed away peacefully in his sleep on 1/26/2014 in Kingston, WA. He was born 5/4/1939 in Gig Harbor, WA to John and Agnes (Sue) Lund. He served in the Navy, worked at Boeing, Seattle City Light and retired after 30 years from Puget Power/Puget Sound Energy. In retirement he enjoyed fishing, camping, beach combing, gardening, HAM events and travel. He was a Master Mason at Warren G. Harding Lodge in Poulsbo, and was an avid HAM radio operator; his call sign W7DAL is now a silent key. He is survived by a brother John H Lund of Anchorage; sons, Bruce (JoLynn) Lund of Anchorage, Tim (Debbie) Lund of Aberdeen, David (Melissa) Lund of Idaho; daughters, Heidi Lund of Bremerton and Rebecca Rose Lund of Seattle; 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Iona Rose Lund. Dallas's friendly and gregarious personality, his booming voice and infectious laugh touched many lives. He taught his children the love of the outdoors (both nature and the sea), respect for family and friends as well as the love of animals. The Family is planning a celebration to honor his life this spring.
