Bohuslav Cyrill Fried Obituary (1918

Bohuslav Cyrill Fried age 85, passed away at Forest Ridge Retirement Center on November 24, 2003. He was born July 3, 1918 in Dinwiddie, Virginia to Leopold and Mary (Brynda) Fried. Bohuslav made a carrer in the US Navy serving 23 years from 1933 earning many medals including WWII Victory Medal, American Defense Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. He received an honoralble discharge in 1956. He then worked in civil service for an additional 20 years at Treasure Island and Fort Pickett, retiring in 1984. Bohuslav was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He is survived by daughters:Maryann Davis of Silverdale and Darlene Graf of Cloverdale, CA; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers George and Albert and sister Mary Stech. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Anna. A time of visition will be held Monday, December 1, 2003, 9-6 at Lewis Funeral Chapel Graveside services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 2, 2003, 1:00 PM.
