Allen H. Jacobsen Obituary (1948

Allen H. Jacobsen, 69, of Poulsbo, passed away on Jan. 5, 2018 at his home. He was born on Sept. 30, 1948 in Bremerton, to Arnold and Helen (Anderson) Jacobsen. Allen graduated from North Kitsap High School and attended Olympic College. He proudly served in the US Army for three years, stationed at Ft. Lewis and served in the Vietnam War. Allen worked as a pipe fitter at PSNS, retiring after 20 years. After retiring from the shipyard, Allen found his dream job at Aerodyne Industries, where he became a trainer on Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAV's) for the US military. From 2004-2013, he was able to travel the world working with the military members he so deeply loved and respected. His work took him to places like- Korea, Germany, Hawaii, Kuwait, and all over the USA. He had finally found the job he was meant to do. He retired again in 2013 to move back to his hometown of Poulsbo. He was a lifetime member of Gateway Fellowship. Allen enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, photography, watching the Huskies, Seahawks and Mariner's. His greatest joy in life was being "PaPa" to his grandkids. He loved them more than life itself, and bragged about them every chance he got. He was preceded in death by his parents. Allen is survived by his daughters Christine Lemons (Robert) of Duvall, WA; Andrea Wendling of Bend, OR; sister, Linda Campbell of Vancouver, WA; and 4 grandchildren Brian, Connor and Erin Lemons (Christine) and Alexis Pound (Andrea). A memorial service will be held on February 10, 2018 at 2:00pm at Gateway Fellowship, 18901 8th Ave NE, Poulsbo, WA 98370.
