Margaret "Peggy" Kent, 65, of Poulsbo, WA passed away on Nov. 4, 2013. Peggy was born on Nov. 24, 1947 in Cincinnati, OH to Henry David Fischer and Margaret (Keagy) Lueders. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle and went on to receive a BA in Finance from City University also of Seattle.
On July 17, 1998, Peggy married James Kent in Seabeck, WA.
Peggy worked in both operator services and finance for US West and retired as an officer after 30 years. Peggy was admired for her creativity, innovation and fairness. She built many special friendships in her career and was beloved by many. She served on the Board of Directors for Seabeck Conference Center and Kitsap Library. Peggy also held memberships in the Kitsap Quilt Guild and Kitsap Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
Peggy's personal interests included quilting, cooking, bringing people together, reading, music, journaling and spending time with friends and family.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, James Kent; sister, Kathy Morgret; and mother, Marge Lueders, but her memory will live on with her son Alex Tumey of San Francisco, CA; father, Henry 'Hank' Fischer; stepsons, John (Cindy) and Joe (Kay) Kent; brother's-in-law, Chuck Morgret and Jay Kent; sister, Suzanne (Dennis) Reynolds of Langley, WA; 3 grandchildren; and close friend and former husband, Kevin Tumey.
A celebration of life service will be held on Dec. 8th at 2:00pm at the Seabeck Conference Center located at 15395 Seabeck Hwy NW, Seabeck, WA 98393.
