LOCAL EVENTS/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Lewis Chapel and its branches have been part of this community for nearly 100 years. During this time we have become involved with many important community groups. The following are groups Lewis Chapel,“The Stone Chapel” Poulsbo Mortuary, Forest Lawn Cemetery and Cherry Grove Memorial Park are involved with:

• Proud sponsor of the Kitsap Blue Jackets baseball team since their inaugural season in 2005. During 2006, Lewis Funeral Chapel and its branches donated all our unused tickets to charity.
• 18 year sponsor of a themed Christmas tree for the Harrison Hospital Foundation Festival of Trees.
• Sponsor of the Children’s tree at the Harrison Hospital Foundation Festival of Trees. (The Lewis Funeral Chapel collects stuffed animals year round and will distribute these animals to the hospital as needed).
• Our staff purchases new toys for donation to the Salvation Army of Bremerton during the holiday season.
• Member of Soroptimist International Service Organization
• Member of the Bremerton Rotary
• Member of the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce
• Member of the Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce
• Member of the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce
• Member of the Washington State Funeral Director’s Association
• Member of the Washington Cemetery and Funeral Association
• Stone Chapel donated $5,000 as a Community Sponsor for the Fireworks on the Fjord, July 3rd, 2007.
