In the event of my death, who would be responsible for making the arrangements?
When a person dies and he/she is married, the spouse will control all decisions pertaining to the disposition. If no spouse, then any children 18 years or older control the disposition. If no children, then the surviving parents of the deceased control the disposition. If no living parents, then the deceased’s siblings. If no family members, then the most responsible party will control the disposition. A legal will, that reads the name of an individual or a mode of disposition overrides legal next of kin.
My spouse My son or daughter More than one of my children A good friend or neighbor One or both of my parents I'm not sure
My Funeral Arrangements Should Include:
A celebration of life followed by a burial A celebration of life followed by a cremation A graveside celebration followed by a burial A memorial service with cremation None of these apply I'm not sure<
The money needed to pay for my funeral would come from:
My preplanned arrangements My life insurance My savings Family or friends A bank loan I'm not sure
If my death occurred tomorrow, what I would regret most regarding my final arrangements would be:
The emotional burden it would place on my survivors No one would know what I wanted for myself or for my loved ones The financial strain it would cause my survivors The possibility of emotional overspending The potential for disagreements among by survivors over what to do That I had not taken care of it myself ahead of time
